Information you give us

The site has no accounts, sign-up forms, or comment sections. The only personal information we would receive from you directly is what you choose to send if you contact us, such as your email address and the content of your message.

Please do not email us personal health information. We are not a healthcare provider and cannot respond to medical questions.

Our tools

The care model comparison, membership cost worksheet, and question checklist run entirely in your browser. The numbers and text you enter are not saved, are not sent to our servers or to our analytics provider, and disappear when you leave or reload the page.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider processes standard technical information when your browser requests a page, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and diagnose problems.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which guides are read most and how visitors find us. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view, the links you click, your approximate location (country, region, and city), and your device and browser type. We have switched off its advertising features, and we do not use this information to identify you.

You can opt out at any time. Choose Opt out on the cookie notice, or use the Cookie settings link in the menu beside this page to bring the notice back. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as an opt-out automatically. You can also block cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party advertising cookies. If we add advertising in the future, we will update this policy before doing so.

How we use and share information

We use the limited information described above to operate and improve the site and to reply to messages. We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers that host, secure, or measure the site, or when required by law.

Links to other sites

Our articles link to government agencies, professional organizations, and other outside sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
